 01  Why did you chose Adobe Connect?

​

After evaluating many virtual meeting/training platforms on the market, Adobe Connect was selected as the most versatile.  In addition to many options for a trainer to customize the students' experience to their style and preference, Connect also requires no downloads to be used by a student or the university.  This just makes things easier because nobody has to worry about uploading or maintaining software on their servers except for Epee Consulting.  This is included in our fees for providing the infrastructure behind the education sessions.

 

 

 

 02  Will this be worth college credit, is it like another class?

​

At this time, it will not be worth college credit.  The intent is to provide professional education in the same manner as our partner professional societies currently do in-person, Epee just provides the mechanism to move their effort to a virtual platform so they can reach a greater audience.  This may change but Epee views the value proposition as the content being provided to the engineering students regardless of college credit.

 

 

 

 03  Who pays for this service?

​

Participating colleges and universities with accredited engineering programs will pay for access to the service.  The service will be purchased on a per-track basis, where one semester or one course is a track.  For clarity, all Freshman content each semester will be one track, likewise with Sophomore content.  Once the engineering disciplines differentiate starting Junior year, content will be provided for each engineering discipline and each will be considered it's own track.

 

 

 

 04  I am no longer in school, but this sounds like something I would like to do as well.  Will this be offered to young professionals?

Currently it is not, but this is expected to change as Epee grows.  Stay tuned.

 

 

 

 05  How will an employer know that I participated in this program?

​

We provide a participation-based curriculum, where it is the students' responsibility to get as much out of the sessions as they can.  Adobe Connect will track who participates in to each session, and at the end of each track students that participated in >80% of the sessions will be sent a Certificate of Completion to prove they participated in the minimum required sessions.

 06  I am an industry professional and an active trainer for my professional society.  How do I sign up to be a trainer with Epee?

​

Please reach out to us using the form on the Contact Us page or contact Alan Levy at Alan.Levy@epeeconsulting.com.  In addition to being a subject matter expert, we are looking for experienced, high-energy trainer with experience training on a virtual platform.  We are selective of the trainers, because they must be good with college students and understand how to remotely maintain a student's attention.

 07  I am a student at a non-participating university.  I heard about this program from my friends and I'd love to do it, but how can that happen if my university does not participate?

​
